This page explains how Mouse Trip It handles email plan requests, analytics, affiliate tracking and cookies in plain English.

What data the site may collect
You can use the calculator without creating an account. Mouse Trip It may process the answers you enter, such as starting location, trip length, group size, park choice, stay style, travel preference, food style and budget priority.
This information is used to show your estimated route, cost breakdown and booking checklist.
Email plan requests
If you ask Mouse Trip It to email your plan, we use the email address you provide to send that specific plan. This is treated as a service message you requested, not a newsletter signup.
The request may include your selected trip option, calculator inputs, cost breakdown, booking order, booking links and checklist. Email delivery may be handled by an email provider, and plan requests may be saved so the site can confirm whether sending succeeded.
If email sending is not configured, the site should show a friendly message instead of printing the full email payload in public production logs.
Marketing emails
Mouse Trip It will only send tips, updates or other marketing emails if you actively opt in, for example by ticking an optional checkbox. Asking for your trip plan by email does not automatically add you to marketing emails.
If you opt in, Mouse Trip It may keep a record of the email address, the source of the signup, the consent text shown and the time consent was captured. You can unsubscribe or ask for your details to be removed by contacting hello@mousetripit.com.
Analytics
Mouse Trip It may collect basic analytics such as page visits and calculator use. This helps improve the planner and understand which routes users compare.
Analytics should only run after you accept analytics cookies where consent is required.
Affiliate click tracking
Some links may be affiliate links. Mouse Trip It may record outbound affiliate button clicks, such as the button label and destination URL. Affiliate providers may also use their own tracking parameters or cookies if you click through.
Affiliate tracking does not change the estimate logic or the recommendation shown by the calculator.
Advertising cookies
Mouse Trip It does not currently load AdSense ads. If advertising is added later, advertising cookies may be used for ad measurement and, where allowed, personalised ads. Advertising cookies should not load until consent is handled where required.
Your choices
You can avoid submitting an email address and still use the calculator. You can also choose not to click affiliate links and instead visit providers directly.
Cookie choices can be managed through the cookie banner or by clearing your browser storage. Questions about your data can be sent to hello@mousetripit.com.
How long data is kept
Mouse Trip It should only keep email plan request data for as long as needed to send the requested plan, troubleshoot delivery and understand whether the feature is working. Marketing signup records may be kept while you remain subscribed so consent can be evidenced.
